We arrived at the Hustai National Park ger camp at around lunchtime and had a buffet lunch of sausages, salad and chicken legs that wasn't all that good. Dinner consisted of a pizza. Like all the Ger camps we visited, they serve soft drinks and bottled beer which you have to pay extra for.
We arrived just before lunchtime and so we had lunch which was superb. For starters we had salad with caviar spread on hard boiled eggs. Bit posh eh?! First time I ever had caviar and I certainly wasn't expecting to eat it in the middle of nowhere in Mongolia! For main course we had a chicken breast covered with melted cheese and bacon along with vegetables (a bit more than what the photo shows). Then we had beef stew. For dinner that evening we had more caviar along with salmon. I certainly wasn't expecting all of this at a campsite! Like all the Ger camps we visited, they serve soft drinks and bottled beer which you have to pay extra for.
