    To the north 9 Kilometer away from Dharan lies the famous hill junction Bhedetar. When the sky is clear one can witness the breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains. The distinct view of Makalu can be seen from this area.
    People come here for the fresh air.

    Dharan is one of the holy places in Nepal. It has many temples, of which the most important are Pindeshwar temple, Dantakali temple, Pancha Kanyan temple and Buddha Subba temple.

  • Dharan is famous for a balck pig (kalo sungur). various items of food made from PIG's meat is famous in dharan . pig's ear ,leg ,intestine, and others and you can also enjoy TONGBA which is a famous liquor you can find in nepal/. Especially TONGBA of dharan is very famous.
