The Third Eye, Kathmandu

I had fantastic Indian food here, but they offer much more than that. I went to the rooftop and ordered a beer and dinner. The rooftop is really lovely, but so is the restaurant. Very reasonable prices for such good quality and service, and very clean bathrooms! I was very happy to see that, as I hadn't really seen a clean bathroom on this trip to Nepal. Really enjoyed the food, the service, and the atmosphere.

Favorite Dish: I had kashmiri kofte I believe. I asked them to make it spicy because it isn't normally, so they added some hot peppers and it was delicious! I had plenty of naan to dip in the sauce as well and it was fresh and hot and really good.

This restaurant in the heart of Thamel can hang with just about any restaurant in Kathmandu. It is next to Yin Yang, is a long running favorite that retains an old Kathmandu flavor. There is a rooftop terrace and the Indian food is to die for; try the butter chicken masala or spaghetti because they are the best in Kathmandu. I loved the place!

The Third Eye is one of the finest restaurants in Thamel, offering quality Tandoori, Mugali and Continental Dishes. A very traditional feel, good music, and friendly staff.

There's a sit-down section at the front, and a slightly more cultural, but informal section with low tables and cushions at the back.

Favorite Dish: Chicken Tika Masala, very nice. My first meal in Kathmandu!

Tandoori dishes are especially good.

Favorite Dish: I've been here only one time so I don't have a favorite menu. I don't remember what I had but it was really good. The restaurant is not one of the cheapest but the food is real good.

It is a very good restaurant, good food, good drinks ;-), nice people, and good atmosphere. Sit relaxed on the floor, very nice.
