The means of transportation is only Bus. However you can hire a Jeep (not car please) for your own conveince. The public bus is the appropriate for the transportation. It will take approximately a whole day to reach Syabrubensi or Dhunche.
The Bus can be available from MACHHAPOKHARI {near Gobgbu (new) Bus Park in Kathmandu}, and the fare is not much more (approx > 100 rupees 9in year 2004 as I remember - may be wrong). Up to Betravati River, there is good motorable road, but when you cross the Betrawati Bazar, the road starts with gravelled. Many landslides are in the road, so be careful or inquiry about the season and either road bloked or not. Most frequent landslides are in Mulkharka and Ramche.
If you go to Langtang, you will never forge the beauty of the Nature.
You may go to Gosaikunda from Dhunche.
