Nightlife here is all but nonexistent in Nepal. Most people go to bed early and the only places open aren't discos by any measure but more like hang out places. Have a reef, sit down and listen to good tunes and be mellow. Mellow is probably the best summary of the evening scene in KTM.
Tongues and Tales was real mellow. A little Doors, Marley and a bunch of acid jazz fill the air of this upstairs bar adorned also with low tables and floor cushions. It was a cushy little place to hang out.
Sunset over the jungle of Chitwan National Park.Sitting on the riverbanks in Sauraha when the sun goes down is a perfect way to set the day. Maybe a drink and some snacks from the bar, or just simply relaxing. Moscito-repell!!! - Lots of!
'Nightlife'?!!! Hahahahaha!Not here. not in Kathmandu. In the evening, you might like to wash your feet with some of the local guys hanging out at the jhaksen...? No need to dress, it's just a bath......
Don't expect any nightlife in Nepal. Most of the pubs and restaruants close at 10 at night. Lighting is poor and the only choice is go back to the guest house earlier.During my visit, there are many police officers with guns patrolling around the cities, such as Kathamandu and Pohkra. My guide told us there were some conformations there. I felt safe during my visit. But if you are going there, you had better check it out.

Quite nice night club, opposite Maya restaurant in Lakieside in Pokhara. The things I did not like were: small drinks and not professional rock bands.
The best disco in the country is absolutely at the Hyatt. The place has some style and the music is great.
After 11pm this is not much at all in Kathmandu, but it bustles in the day..
