The Golden Temple, Patan

A fantastic three storey golden pagoda, built in the 12th Century, and possibly the most beautiful temple in Patan.

There is a wealth of amazing carvings on its walls and paintings deepicting the complete life history of Buddha.

Our group was lucky enough to see a 1000 year old prayer book, and have a long conversation with a trainee monk.
