Local Nepali Guyzzz playin live music !

There is not much of a nightlife in Pokhara other than dining and enjoying live music. The town shuts down by about 10:30 in the evening. Until you can hang out some of the bars and pubs that are becoming trendy in the area. Fishtail Lodge puts up an hour long nightly Nepali cultural show with dances and such.

I always go to BUSY BEE Pub in Lakeside coz it is my favorite night club. You'll be able to meet peoples from different country and can get a nice date to spend your trip with. It's a really nice place to hang out and you'll also enjoy the live music played by local Nepali guys.

    Club Amsterdam: Missing Amsterdam

Okay so it's not quite Amsterdam. But with Bitterballen on the menu and pictures of Amsterdam on the walls, it's the closest you are going to get to Amsterdam in Pokhara. Staff are friendly and chatty. Football on the screen providing there isn't a power cut. They have a peaceful garden looking out onto the lake. Also a good place to play Pool, even if the table and cues have seen better days.

    Firefly

This new bar in Pokhara was one of the most enjoyable places we visited in Pokhara. The staff are very friendly and the food was very good.
The quite young owner said that they want to offer something different to the many 'danceclubs' you find in Pokhara.
I do think and hope they will succeed with this very nice new place!

Club Nasha, to mention one of many: Dance Clubs

    Club Nasha

You will find many of these danceclubs in Pokhara. You can have drinks there and have a meal, while the entertaining is non-stop. The entertainment comes in the form of local guys and girls miming and dancing on Bollywood movie tunes. Club Nasha is ome of these danceclubs. It seems that these clubs are very popular with locals and foreigners alike. No entrance fee.

Caffe Concerto: Relax and keep warm into the night on Lake Side

    Ready for you!

After dinner - or do your dinner here - lean back with excellent coffee and drinks Italian style and relax. A very good place to flip through your diary, add notes to the trekking plan, read a newspaper (available to guests), keep warm at the fire place during cold season evenings and have some good food, too.
And jazz - this place plays jazz, and some good jazz, too.

    Club Amsterdam: Live Band!

This is a good hangout after a long day of trekking or rowing. Has got a proper bar for barflies to sit on stools and listen to Nepalese bands playing rock music when there is no power cut. Their gin and tonic is not the best as they only have the locally made gin. Unfortunately for Pokhara, nightlife here closes before midnight because of local rules, so you sort of feel shortchanged.

    Lakeside: Nighttime hangout in Pokhara

by Saagar Written Nov 18, 2004

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

These are troubled times in Nepal, and that is reflected iin the locals' nightlife. People hurry back from work and shopping and practically the whole town is closed by 8pm.
The sole exception is Lakeside, which has a lively scene still. However, even here local customs penetrate well and by 11 pm it's a very subdued nightlife and most shops, bars and restaurants close. Basically, do not expect "nightlife" after 10:30.

Club Amsterdam.: Great nightspot with live rock music and football.

    Club Amsterdam in Pokhara.

Club Amsterdam is a really nice little nightspot in Pokahra where you have live bands playing rock music every night and football games on the tv whenever there is an important game going on somewhere in the world.
I really liiked the atmosphere there and the people who run the place aswell as the freindly bartenders.
In my humble opinion this is the best place to hang out at night if you are a real man. :)

  • Bullet Basecamp: Great times

by johnosborne Written Oct 29, 2011

A Dutch-Aussie creation, opened a few months ago. Situated a little away from the touristy strip of Pokhara in the neighbourhood of the people, this bar embodies the "same same, but different" mentality. A welcomed mixed clientele of bikers, locals, general transients, entrepreneurs, volunteers, storytellers and story seekers makes this one of gems of Pohkara. An oasis amidst the daily rumblings of work and play nearby. Whether it’s a break for WiFi and a brew, a pool game and a pint, a quick bite and a beverage, or a moment for unwinding and perhaps a conversation or two, a bit of honest travellers advice, arranging your bike tour or to helping you out with your own Bullet; the Bullet Basecamp and the faces behind always deliver. A spot that will get you hooked.

    All that jazz.: Nice jazzbar.

by cachaseiro Written May 27, 2012
    All that jazz in Pokhara.

All that jazz is a really nice little jazzbar located right on the main street above the Punjabi restaurant.
It's a small darkish place with a real jazz vibe and they have a stage with live music from time to time.
This is a good old fasjhioned jazzbar that is not full of glitter, colors and lights, but nice little "brown bar" with real jazz vibe.
They have the usual selection of beers and i also noticed that they were very well stocked on various imported spirits, so if you are after that then this is a good place to go.
