A restaurant with a dreamy Lake view. I enjoy eating in this great restaurant. The food was delicious, the staff very kind and friendly and the view was just marvelous. This place is great and I wouldn't hesitate to come back next time when I come to Nepal. Price is way cheaper than all other so called good restaurant. Oh, Very Clean restroom too.
Favorite Dish: the owner recommend me the Grilled fish. It was very good. Desserts are good too.

I always passed by this when I went for a walk. I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. Away from the road and right next to the lake, you can't beat the location. The staff are friendly and the food is also pretty good. A good place if you just want to chill or read a book.
Favorite Dish: Since I was very hungry I ordered a burrito and it really filled me up. A bit on the greasy side but very tasty.

This was one of the first place I found in Pokhara which served real coffee. The sitting area is small but the coffee is really good. The breakfast is also not bad.
Favorite Dish: I had a egg chapati roll which was very filling... an excellent way to start the day.

Moondance is probably the most popular restaurant in Lake Side. Whenever my friends come to visit I take them to this place for a meal. The ambience is friendly and the food is good. Once you enter the restaurant you feel at ease and the staff are waiters are casual yet professional. The menu is simple and offer a range of continental dishes. There is a pool table upstairs which is nice.
Favorite Dish: I like the chocolate brownies with ice cream which is the best I have tried in Nepal.

This is probably the most popular restaurant in Lake Side. The owner had done an awesome job in creating a wonder ambience. The food is also not too bad. The menu is a mixed fare nothing outstanding except the dessert. It's good place to go to if you go out with your friends where the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.
Favorite Dish: Machhaphuchhre kiss is a unique desert... I don't know how to describe it... I guess you just have to try it!

This is a nice little cafe where you can just sit sip on a drink and watch the world go by. They serve good coffee, choice between Italian and local. The food is also not too bad. I tried their penne pasta and I really liked it. The chocolate brownie are to die for. The waiters are also friendly and they also have free Wifi.
Favorite Dish: Definitely the chocolate brownie!

I took my family out to dinner to this newly opened place. They have done a really good job on the decor especially the outdoor area where they have a fishpond which looks really beautifully when illuminated in the evening. However, the menu was a disappointment. Since it has the name "Byanjan" which in Nepali means "feast" or "banquet" I was thinking they would have something really authentic however their menu is the usual fare which you find in most restaurants here in Pokhara only the names are slightly changed. We ordered shrimp cocktail for appetizers and all it was some a few shrimps drowned in pinkish colored mayonnaise. The tom yum soup was quite good but a little over spiced. My Bengali curry was OK a bit too much oil though and the Jeera rice which ordered to go with it was more like fried rice. We passed on the dessert.
Favorite Dish: If you like spicy tom yum soup then I guess you could get it here.

Searching for good coffee and I found this place. The coffee is freshly ground beans grown locally. They have a machine so you can get real espresso coffee here. They also have a selection of pastries, cakes and light meals. The apple crumble goes really well with a cup freshly brewed coffee. The seating is outdoor and it really is lovely. They also have Wifi and it is free!
Favorite Dish: The cafe latte is was really good. The baristas are real artists as they made a lovely flower pattern on the milk foam on the top.

When we entered Gurkha's we were greeted by friendly waiters in smart uniforms. The menus were also nice in rugged leather folders unlike the many grubby tattered ones you find in most restaurants here. The ambience of the restaurant was OK but I think it could do with a makeover. We ordered some Indian food because we were told that they did pretty good curries and tandoories. We were not disappointed. The tandoori chicken was excellent accompanied with tangy salad and freshly baked garlic naan. The mutton biryani and cucumber raita was also delicious. Try also the lassi's here which are really good.
Favorite Dish: The mutton biryani most definitely. Not too spicy but prepared with spice and dried fruit topped it goes excellently with the cucumber raita.
