Me and 2 collegues went to thsi place; and ordered 2 pizza. One pizza tasted funny so we flipped it. It was completely black and burnt. And teh manager comes and tells us that it is NOT burnt! that that's how come people like it.
SO we flipped it teh other pizza, and tehn she says maybe that is UNDERCOOKED, but this pizza is NOT burnt!
we just paid for all teh pizza and told here we will never visit this place again.

I worked for over 2 months in Kathmandu and this place was a god send. Very clean, very friendly and awesome pizza/pasta. Get there early and if you have to wait, just wait!
I ate 5 times a week there becuse it was the only place I didnt get sick from. Ice cold beer and wine. Every taxi driver knows the name.
Favorite Dish: Basil pizza

This is a wonderful little pizza restaurant that feels more like Italy then Nepal. There is classical music playing, candlelit and travelers from all over the world. The pizza is great and the atmosphere is relaxing and special.

Although I was not going to go into individual restaurants throughout Nepal and save those for city-specific pages, when I saw "Fire and Ice" under restaurant categories I just had to mention it.
After living in rural Nepal on Daal Baat for a month this is the first place I went after reaching Kathmandu. They have both pizza and ice cream, two things most missed after eating only rice and lentils after a month strait. Good food, good atmosphere, and ice cream for dessert (hard to find outside of Thamel).
Favorite Dish: PIZZA AND ICE CREAM
- good prices as well (for Thamel at least, much cheaper than LA Dolce Vita)

Not a bad pizza for 240 rupees. A bit basic and light on the toppings (I'm from Australia where the toppings are so high you need a step ladder to reach the top) but quite nice all the same.
Prices:
200 rupee basic pizza
300 rupee more complex
40 rupee for a litre of water

FIRE AND ICE in Kathmandu (Thamel) for great Italian food (yummy pizza) and apple pie a la mode that you would never expect to get in Nepal.
PUMPERNICKEL BAKERY in Kathmandu (Thamel) for very good pastries.
Fire and Ice has casual indoor and outdoor dining. Pizzas are around 200-300 rupees (about $3-4 US dollars).
Pumpernickel has a large outdoor patio and indoor seating. Very cheap. A large breakfast of two eggs, a cup of black tea, a cinnamon roll, and orange juice cost 125 rupees (less than $2 US dollars).
