You will eat in your hotel...
by ColmNugent
You will eat in your hotel every breakfast and dinner - save for one night when your guides may let you eat in a local restaurant - if they think they can trust you. [getting along with your guides is the key to a more relaxed trip] You will stay in one hotel in the city, and one hotel in the mountains. During the day, have no choice as to the restaurant you frequent - you will eat like a king but be prepared for frequent meals of multiple courses. Most restaurants are vast ornate halls with about seven foreign diners. The menu is standard Korean fare, kimchi, noodles etc. and is, on the whole, pretty good. You'll feel more than a little guilty when you realise that the bulk of the population can barely feed itself and you see people grubbing for roots in the fields.
Don't eat dog or dairy. Everything else is lovely. be warned - during the trip there will be no attempt made to conceal...
