You can also rent a car / hiace / coaster for gwadar.
We hired a 2 night , 3 day 13 seater hiace for Rs. 16000 [ approx US$ 250.00 ]
Feul cost is additional , which was costed us around Rs. 13000 [ approx US$ 180 ]
We left our house at aroun 7.15 am
and checked in at our hotel at around 7 pm
so it took us around 12 hours to reach gwadar , where as the original trip was planned for 8 hours , but if you would want to stop for re-feulling , washroom , rest room , food then it would take around 10 - 11 hours .
Also depends on the road condition and rush on the road.

for 1 night 2 day trip to gwadar
you might extend your stay for a night, and the car charged around Rs. 3000 / day extra
Feul cost is additional
and it took us around 11 hours to reach there and 11 hours to come back
It is 650 kms one way , and hiace consumed around 1.5 tank one way
So we had to have 3 full tanks for the journey
and around half tank for travelling with in gwadar

You can get a bus from saeed abad bus terminal / hub river road at karachi.
Bus fare is around Rs. 1000 / one way [ US$ 15]
An aircondition bus leaves from karachi to gwadar at 6 am -
and it takes around 12 hours by bus to reach gwadar , so you would be at gwadar by 6 pm.
Original time duration for khi - gwadar - karachi is around 8 hours, but travelling by bus or coach can take upto 11 - 12 hours.

I planned to travel to Gawadar on July 19, 2008 for a small business trip. I was advised that it takes about 7-8 hrs from Gawadar and that busses and coaches are available from old Sabzi Mandi (vegetable market) area. Not so !!! The information was way outdated and the planned trip was aborted.
The busses / coaches leave from the main Bus stand at Yousuf Goth, near Saeedabad towards Hub area. The scheduled time for those busses leaving Karachi is either around 6 Am or 6PM. No busses after that.
Also some busses leave from Lyari. However, the leaving time is the same in the evening but in some cases transport is available uto 10 AM.
Moreover, the travel time is about 12 hours and not 7-8 hours.
The transport's first stop is at Khuzdar and all busees are air-conditioned.
