This village, 30 minutes by walking from Karimabad is surprisingly interesting. The local architecture is intact and locals are so very friendly and warm towards visitors. Do check out the incredible Altit Fort (under restoration at time of visit) and check out its position clinging on the side of the steep mountain!

Used to enjoy the 'Id' festivals and their beautiful sweets. The festival of lights 'Divali' where little lights are dotted around the roof of the houses.

I miss the many friends I made there. Loved the weather when it became to hot in the plains we stayed in the Hills.

Well..If I would have more time, I would have love to cross the pass and border into China. But, its not meant to be. Sost is generally a border town, a place with heaps of trading around. Also, my connection to Chapursan valley. NOTE: It's the best place in the KKH to gaze and gape at those impossibly ornamentated trucks. Yes, pride of the drivers!!!!

HANGING PEOPLE

When I was walking on street in Rawalpindi, I saw a strange scene: hanging passenger. The door of any bus or minibus was opening when driving, and one, or two, or even more passengers hanging at doorway. "How dangerour it is!" I think. But it like nothing! How interesting custom!

ensure you only dring nestle "life" filter water available all over 20rs -40rs a bottle even brush your teeth with it. also to avoid mosquito bites use "mospel" il available for 30rs at most stores dab a small alount around ankles and neck areas and you will be safe.
