Pakistani Trucks

Pakistan has beautiful trucks and busses driving around, they are all hand(!)painted and look like a travelling artwork. There are so many of those beautiful art-mobiles to see, that you sometimes miss the grand landscape. When we arrived in Pakistan (in Sust, right after the chinese border in the north) we were admiring a beautiful truck on our first day. The driver noticed this and walked up to us inviting us for a ride in it, that was great! The photo of these trucks are taken outside Lahore right near the border with India.

After a sternous climb to 4300m, I reached the bend of the unnamed glacier. From here, it would be another days trek to the pass at 5500m. It was hot and sunny one minute, and nearly a blizzard the other. The size of the hail cannot be underestimated!!! There truly were no shelters around!

Around passu, there are tonnes of choices for treks. Be it a 2 weeks long expedition or a day trek, all would take your breath away! ( both physically and emotionally). I did two short treks myself and was absolutely spent..... In this picture, see if you could see the tiny trekker at the bottom left of the page!
