Visa For Pakistan

by stephen7862003

There was a time you just walk into any Pakistan embassy and they were happy to give you visa with smile, even I remember sometimes some embassies had said it will take 7 days to give you visa and I would ask them please can you do this in two days because of my flight and they would help me out but thanks to the capitalism and all the recent changes things aren't the same. Countries like Pakistan are afraid of us (westerns) coming to their country ha ha. On the other hand now we can see what the average Pakistani goes through when he/she applies visa for a western country. Traveling should be each human's God gifted right but it doesn't look like, sad hah..

Pakistan and Iranian visas

by imranthetrekker

Bonjour from Peshawar,Pakistan visa in Iran, not feasible these days, Pakistan embassies are not granting the visas to non-local, foreign travelers in the countries like Tehran, Kathmandu, New Delhi and Bangkok etc. There are 2 options to get Pakistan visa,At Sust coming from China, 30 days VOA, later you can extend it,The country of your passport with a Letter of sponsorship from a Pakistan based tour operator or citizen, hotel reservation from Pakistan. For online Irnian visawww.key2persia.com/ www.iranianvisa.comGood luck,Imran SchahTravel photography of Pakistanhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/imranthetrekker/

Pakistan visas in UK

by imranthetrekker

Dear Chris,Nowadays the Pakistan embassies are asking for a Letter of Invitation (LOI) from a Pakistan based travel outfitter or a Pakistani national along with a hotel reservation in Pakistan. You better avoid London but give it a try at Bradford and Birmingham, they are better places in granting Pakistan visas.Good luck bro..

Pakistan visas at New Delhi and Host countries

by imranthetrekker

Bonjour from Chitral, Hindu Kush,The best option for you to go back and apply in US, at the nearest Pakistan embassy, with a LOI along with a hotel reservation at Pakistan. The Pak embassy at Kathmandu used to issue the visas to over-landers some 2 years back without a LOI but stopped and I came across some travelers who got the Pak visa at Kathmandu within a day.Pakistan embassy at New Delhi stopped issuing visas to American and European travelers recently, Tehran for almost 2 years back same as Turkey.Pakistan embassies at host destinations have stopped issuing visas to foreign travelers so travelers please beware of that. The best option for the foreign travelers to Pakistan, is to arrange a Pakistan visa at home country.Bon voyage mon ami..Cities & Mountains of Pakistan, Photos http://www.flickr.com/photos/imranthetrekker

Travel to Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan

by imranthetrekker

Bonjour from Peshawar,Flights from Islamabad and Peshawar are subject to weather and they are often cancelled. The itinerary is fine but too fast , from Hindu Kush to Himalayas and then the eastern parts of Pakistan through Babusar pass. There should be a day trek from Bamburate to other valleys like Birir, very beautiful and nice treks in the area, but it's tiring being in a car for all the time. From Karimabad, take a hike to Duikar to Eagles' nest for sun set over Spantik (Golden Peak) 7027 m.Trek over Hoper glacier for an hour or 2, excellent walk. There are not enough extra or rest days to enjoy the mountain scenery either in Kalash valleys and Karimabad.Skip Bamburet valley, that is a very commercial area, Birir and Rumbur are far better places with nicer and warm welcoming Kalash families.I welcome your queries,Imran SchahPhotos of adventures in Hindu Kush, Karakorum and...

Pakistani Women - A prime minister

by Faiza-Ifrah

One of my favorite things about Pakistan is that its National and Provincial assemblies are very colorful due to large number of women representatives. The Western media portrays Pakistan as an extremist Islamic country, but this is not true. People of Pakistan have elected Benzair Bhutto as the Prime Minister of Pakistan twice. Even President Musharraf's popularity in Pakistan was attributed to women.Benazir Bhutto, born June 21, 1953, was the first woman elected to lead Pakistan. She was also the first female Prime Minister of a Muslim state. Benazir chaired the Pakistan Peoples Party and was elected twice as the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Benazir Bhutto, the charismatic opposition leader was assassinated 27 December 2007.Wikipedia has this to say for Mrs. Benazir Bhutto:Benazir Bhutto (21 June 1953 – 27 December 2007) was a Pakistani politician who chaired the Pakistan Peoples Party...
