The Ultar glacier looms over the beautiful central Hunza village of Karimabad.Glacier Ultar which has a height of 7.399 metres squeezes between two rock walls.Every few hours you awaken to what seems like loud thunder, but is actually the shifting and cracking of the glacier ice.he walk up Ultar's steep nala can be an unforgettable indeed, it portrays the most challenging of climbs which many have tried and failed. It can be reached from Hunza

If you enter from the Karakoram Highway, you will probably have to spent a night at Sust, the first town you will encounter in Pakistan. Most travelers decide to leave first thing in the morning, but we wanted to walk around a little, and I am so glad we did! There are a lot of people living in this area who look very European, they have green eyes and blond hair. The family we met is a Tajik family.
