There are at least 50 shops restaurants hotels etc in Karimabad's bustling street, the best way is to bring lots of cash money to grab whatever you want. I saw so many Lapis Lazuli and other stones in multicolors. Almost everything except internet, it cost 600R an hour, if you can afford. US$10.05 converted using VT-currency converter.

Gilgit Bazaar.: The StrongHold of Shopping.

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Gilgit is a very large city and you can basically get there everything you want ranging from everyday goods to luxury items like Silks from China. Most of the items are smuggled (no you wont be caught or anything!) and is extremely cheap, especially Electronic stuff. The Cinema Bazaar and the China Bazaar are major places for shopping!

What to buy: Silks, Clothes, Electronics and anything you like!

What to pay: Just Negotiate a suitable price! Prices go up by several thousand rupees on seeing a foreigner especially. However, negotations really work even for the locals and bring down prices considerably. Old timers like " Im paying this or im leaving really work! "
$ 1 = Rs 60 (approx).

Hunza water is taken from the streams of Hunza

The people of Hunza are known for their longevity and good health. In fact
it is common for people of this region to reach 130 years of age with
virtually no cancer or dental caries (decay of a bone or tooth). Some have
even reached the age of 145! The people of Hunza remain robust and strong
and are also able to bear children even in old age. Some men even marry at
age 70.

The reason for this long age is the water of Hunza from the different streams and rivers passing through the areas. Hunza water is
different from other types of water, and drinking it can help you achieve that
longevity and good health.

What to buy: Buy empty bottles of water to take with you back home.

Hunza water has tiny minerals shaped like smooth spheres that were only 5
nanometers in diameter and were 2,000 times smaller than a red blood cell
and that had a very high electrical potential, called zeta potential. These
minerals - called nano-colloids - disperse throughout the Hunza water
with this electrical potential and in interacting at the electrical level
with the hydrogen and oxygen molecules that comprise water, they create
tiny crystalline structures.

What to pay: Its FREE ----------there for the taking
However, if you order from Hunzawater.com: 1 Gallon $35.50
3 GALLON $79.50
5 Gallon $110

But you dont have to pay , Just take a vacation to Hunza and enjoy.
