Well, not much of a Must-See Activity but on the Karakoram Highway on a stretch somewhere in the Hazara and Kohistan region around the Thakot/Jaglot region, you will see some lovely flowers growing on both (or one) sides of the road. Yup, theyre poppies, the plant from which opium and herion is made. Now don't be foolish enough to take photos in front of the harvesters unless you got a pretty fast car! Anyhow, just recently after some skirmishes with the government, most of the poppy crop has been destroyed but there still will be some occasional patches.

I stopped in the Hunza valley for 2 nights before crossing to China via the Karakoram Highway. This is definitely a place that gets a lot of travelers, and also a very beautiful place to visit
