Zero point view

Rakhaposhi is a magnificent peak, towering over 7,788 m and is easily visible from KKH and karimabad and its surrounding areas. The first major glimpse that you can enjoy is from an area called ZERO point (right on KKH) where you get a magnificent view of the peak, with glacier fed streams running down. It is also one of the easiest mountains to climb and one can enjoy a day or two trek/hike on it.

If you have the time, you could also trek up to the glacier visible from the road side. The inn keeper told us that it will take approx 2 hours to go up there (another 3000-4000 feet up).

Next to the Ultar Mountain lies the beautiful peak" Lady finger". One of the favourite site among trekkers & tourists. It takes few hours to reach high aboveMelishkar. Melishkar is about the highest village, far above Altit(Historical Village). From here you can have a glimpse of this wonderful peak. You can continue your trek upwards to Ultar glacier from here.

The Ultar glacier looms over the beautiful central Hunza village of Karimabad.Glacier Ultar which has a height of 7.399 metres squeezes between two rock walls.Every few hours you awaken to what seems like loud thunder, but is actually the shifting and cracking of the glacier ice.he walk up Ultar's steep nala can be an unforgettable indeed, it portrays the most challenging of climbs which many have tried and failed. It can be reached from Hunza

A small town among the foothills of the highest mountains in the world.People here are really friendly. Most of them are farmers but some work as porters in tourist season. Views of the mountains from this small town is just amazing.

I stopped in the Hunza valley for 2 nights before crossing to China via the Karakoram Highway. This is definitely a place that gets a lot of travelers, and also a very beautiful place to visit
