What to pack for Islamabad

Luggage and bags: Bring any kind of bags you like. There should not be any problem as far as bags are concerned.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: For winters bring warm woolen clothes. Keep in mind that temperature falls below freezing point in winters. Jackets, Mufflers, Coats and Woolen caps are a must. Sandals are totally out in winter so bring covered warm shoes and ankle high shoes are nice option if you plan to hike around Margalla. Umbrella is a must because it may rain any time.

For summer bring light clothes of light colors. Cotton stuff in light colors is prefered. Sandals are ideal and shoes should be light. No room for anke high shoes as temperature shoots to 40 degree celcius in summer. Umbrella is a must to save you from sun shine and heavy monsoon rains.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Toiletries and medical supplies are easily available. But you may bring them as per your requiremenrts. Otherwise worry not as every thing is easily available. Sun block and sun glasses are recommended for summer.

Photo Equipment: Bring your digital or still cameras with you to capture natural beauty in Islamabad.Film rolls and printing facilities are easily available.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Margalla hills are ideal for Camping, Trekking and Hiking. If you love adventure then bring your out door camping gear with you. You can even buy it from here but it would be expensive!

But don't worry, you purchase body spray from Islamabad. You also need to bring special cream because so many people have mosqueto bites and can get a rash easily.
