Simly Dam is major water source for residents of Islamabad. It is also a popular picnic spot. spot because of its scenic location. Its some 30 Km from Islamabad near Bhara Kahu town. Dam was completed in 1983 and its lake is spread over an area of 28,750 acre. Water sports facilities are provided by Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan.

Another fast developing tourist spot is the beautiful Simly Lake which has been developed by the CDA to provide recreation facilities like boating, sailing and water skiing.
It is also a major water source of water for the people of Islamabad. The dam aws built in 1983 which is situated about 30km near the town of Bhara Kahu.The lake is spread over an area of 28,750 acre and water sports facilities are provided by Tourism Development Corporation of Pakistan. Short clearance barriers have veen installed at number of places. Road is in bad condition so use cars or jeep only.

Rawal Dam is about 23 kms from Islamabad.This glistening man-made lake covers an area of 8.8 sq. km. The terraced garden and the lake are ideal for picnic.
The highest point in the garden commands a panoramic view of the lake, Margallah and Murree hills, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Rawal lake is an artificial resevoir & one of the Islamabad-Rwalpindi's sources of water.The area around the lake has been planted with flowering trees & laid out with gardens, picnic spots & secluded paths. The best places to picnic are on the north side of the lake; turn right from the Muree Road on the way towards Murree. You must come here to enjoy the beautiful weather & a romantic sunset...

If you are in Islamabad then you must visit Rawal Dam located opposite Islamabad Club. It is a lage artificial reservoir and main source of water for residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Many people visit Rawal Lake, sit there are relax. Sun set at Rawal lake is very beautiful.
The area round the lake has been planted with flowering trees. Many picnic spots have also been designed. There is a restaurant operated by PTDC and it offers snack bar facilities for visitors.
The lake covers an area of 8.8 sq.km. YOu can enjoy fishing as well as boating. The highest point in the garden gives lovely view of the lake, Margalla & Murree hills, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
