I follow the advise of the VT who wrote about this place in 2003 and it was a great tip well done VT. It really is a view from heaven the photo on this page is the view from the Hindukush Heights Restaurant and you can see below the town of Chitral. I would like to point out no other site had information as useful as VT for this trip.
Favorite Dish: The food was fantastic all made from freschly locally grown or even better wild produce.

Overlooking the entire Chitral town from a hill top the restaurant at the Hindukush Heights is a treat just to visit.
The food served here is the best in town and the ambiance is heart-warming and of a quality that brings you instant cheer the monent you step in.
The trouble is that you need a 4x4 to get to it. It is 15 min from the town center.
Favorite Dish: Mountain Trout cooked in Caper sauce served with a vegetable lasagne and garden fresh salad.
The trout is freshly caught the same day ( so you need to give advance notice for this dish) and the Caper is of a wild variety that is found growing freely on the mountain slopes. If you order this dish in late April or early May there will be an additional side dish of black moralls ( wild mushroom that sprouts in the mountains at this time of the year)
