Stay at Fairy Meadows and spend a day at this place to adapt to the such a high altitude. then next day go to Nanga Parbat Base camp. one can go upto base camp without any porter or guide as its very straight track. starting from fairy meadows pass from a very thick forest and after crossing the forest reach at Beal Camp a very vast luish green field with a small stream flowing. you will see ppl grazing their animal there and children will offer u some pieces of stone to buy but dont buy as they are nothing but just ordinary stones. after crossing the beal camp now u will have to cross a smal hill to reach the base camp. hill is very steep and rough. try to reach it from the water fall side as its easier and water is also available there. you must have water and food with you and camp as well as u might have to stay there.
