List of MUST items for Kaghan Valley

by fashionapple Written Mar 15, 2006
    Back packs highly recommended

Luggage and bags: Back packs are ideal. Do not bring those fancy bags with you because they might get damaged in this hilly area.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Hiking shoes and sneakers are strongly recommended. Do not forget to bring umbrella as weather becomes really unpredictable once you are in tourist spots near naran. Sun glasses are also recommended. You must have sweaters and jackets with you because weather can get cold any time.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: You must bring all necessary medicines with you because they are not available in Naran. Bring all necessary toiletries, shaving gels, creams, sprays etc with you. Sun block cream is strongly recommended.

Photo Equipment: Photo camera is simply a must. The views are breathtaking and deserve to be captured by your camera.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Camping is great option. Bring all camping equipment including sleeping bags, water bottles and hiking sticks with you if you plan to camp in or near Naran.

by besal Written Apr 30, 2005

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: A good hiking bag would suffice. Something like a day bag. Enough to carry stuff for a day trip

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Jeans or cotton pants if you want to stay comfortable. Good waterproof hiking boots. Water proof jacket (ski jacket with thermal works great). Hat.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: For your personal hygine...shaving creams, toothpaste/brush, and ladies if it is that time of the month...U know what :); all th emedicine that you may require...usually stuff for stomach, headache, antiseptic, band aides for cuts, first aid kit...

Photo Equipment: Films, batteries, tripod, and oh If a digital freak...some more batteries...extra disks/cartride the camera, and if you had taken enough pictures, then naturally a lap top to download.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Tents if you want to spend the night outdoor, and a walking stick. You can also ask a local to make you one...this is what we did.

Miscellaneous: If you can not stomach the enough mineral water bottles from your point of origin (Islamabad/Pindi).
