Tourists coming to Naran consider it a must do activity. Adventure Foundation Pakistan has been organizing this activity for last few years. River Rafting can be done by paying nominal charges of Rs. 300, 500, 1000 only for a distance of 3, 5 & 9 km.
According to a report published in June 2011, around 4000 tourists have enjoyed Rafting in Kunhar River till then.
River Rafting and kayaking are new sports currently under development along the Kunhar River. Kunhar River is excellent for rafting. Some sections between Naran are quite technical and suitable only for experienced white water paddlers. Other sections of the river, above Naran and below Balakot, are fun for beginners and are of relatively easy grade.

Most popular sports of 155 km long Kaghan Valley is fishing. This area is most popular for its rainbow and brown trout fish considered to be the best in South Asia. The ideal area for trout fishing is between Kaghan and Basel. You can also enjoy fishing at lake Saiful Maluk, Lake Lulusar and Lake Dudipatsar. PTDC Motel Naran on the bank of river Khunhar also offers fishing oppurtunity.
Equipment: For fishing first you need to get fishing license by paying reasonable amount to Fisheries department at Naran. You can also get fishing permit from PTDC motel Naran and hire fishing rods on rent from main bazar.

By walking slowly up the glacier is a sport activity, I guarantee you a tough challenge, very tough especially the cold coming from the ice and the high altittude and yet very steep. I did not wear a good shoes but only a pair of sandals and it was very slippery and slow. Walking together with me were two Pakistani tourists, they could walk twice faster than me and twwice the distance as well.
