Lulusar Lake (Lulu Sar Lake) is the largest lake in Kaghan Valley having mirror like waters. Image of surrounding mountains is beautifully reflected in the lake. It is the headwaters ( main reservoir) of Kunhar River. It is situated on main road which goes from Naran to Babusar Pass & forther to Chillas. People going to Babusar Pass (highest point of the valley) must pass by this beautiful lake.
During winter & early Summer road ahead Naran remains closed due to heavy snow fall & other blockages. From June to October it is open. To visit Lulusar Lake no hiking / camping gear is required. You can go & visit Lulusar Lake from Naran on Jeep & easlily return back before night. If you want to include Dudipatsar Lake & other lakes in the vicinity then its minimum two days trip including hiking & camping.
It is 48 km (30 miles) away from Naran. Jeep could be hired for a return trip.

Lulusar lake is 48 kilometers away from Naran at an altitude of 11,000 feet (3352.8 m) on Naran-Babusar road. It is wreathed in blue and gold wild flowers, and is the main source of river Kunhar. From this lake, river Kunhar flow down the valley first as blue stream. And then as a roaring torrent until it joins the river Jhelum. It has very enchanting beauty and its view remains in the mind for a long time.
Lulu Sar is the Reminiscent of those 55 participants of 1857 war of independence who had been arrested near Lulu Sar. The word "sar" is used with the name of lake meaning "lake". In the summer when the water of lakes reflects like a mirror, a large number of visitors from different areas of the country come to watch the enchanting views.
You need to hire a jeep from Naran if you plan to visit Lake Lulusar. After traveling for four and half hour you would reach at this beautiful lake. The average jeep rent on "to and from" basis is Rs. 3,000 (US$30 appox) for trip to this lake. You get one hour stay at lake before leaving back for Naran.
Lulu Sar lake is surrounded by snowcapped hills whose purple and white forms are reflected in the green-blue waters of the silent lake, making it one of the most beautiful spots in the valley.

48 km fron Naran on Naran-Babusar road is Lalusar lake wreathed in blue and gold wild flowers and is the main source of River Kunhar. Near Gittidas Village is the 11'000 ft high Lalusar lake uot of which River Kunhar anew with redoubled strenght to flow down the valley first as placid blue stream and then a roaring torrent until it joins the River Jhelum.
Lalusar has very enchanting beauty. It is surrounded by the snow-capped hills whose purple and white forms are reflected in green-blue waters of the Lake. From Gittidas the road goes on through the Babusar pass into Gilgit. This road is one of the highest in the vworld.
