Luggage and bags: I would recommend backpacks as they are easy to carry especially if you do not have personal transport. Also bring a small backpack which you may carry while trekking.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: You must have proper hiking shoes or sneakers. Better leave your normal open shoes at home!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Its better to bring important medicines with you as hospital is far away and doctor might also not be easily available. Toiletries are easily available in main bazaar.
Photo Equipment: Digicam is ideal. You would take lot of pictures, take my words!!
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Umbrella and rain coat is strongly recommened as weather is very unpredictable and it could change within few minutes.
Miscellaneous: It really get cold in morning and evening during summer season. So you must have warm clothes including sweaters and jackets with you.
In winters, eight feet of snowfall in one go is pretty normal so you need to bring really very warm clothes to survive.
