Fondest memory: After a long day in Peshawar's bazaar, I was aproached by a man who asked me where I came from. After exchanging a few words, he invited me to his house. I had to follow him through the narrow streets of Peshawar (see picture above). At his house, Mohammed introduced me to his two daughters. Everyone spoke English. Although they seemed very open minded, it was out of question that I meet his wife. They were strict moslems and followed the Purdha rules which separate men from women in every aspect of daily life.
Most people are very friendly, and they all want to know where you from and what is your name, I can assure this is funny in the beginning but after a
few hours and answering the same questions hundreds of times, well even for a calm and tolerant tourist there are limits. The picture shows our two drivers who are relaxing with a cup of green thee.
