  • CLOTH MARKET: CLOTH MARKET(Blankets and Shawls)

by WAHEEDASLAM Written May 12, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Beyond the Copper Market are a number of shops selling blankets and shawls from the Valleys of Swat and Kaghan. These are all traditinally made with intelectual style Made of hand-spun wool, these are predominantly in red or black colors with brightly patterned borders. A lane to the right leads to the Cloth Bazaar where all kinds of cloth and dress materials are available you can buy & bargain for anykind of cloth. Each week there is also a second hand cloth market as well very popular amongst local people.

What to buy: Clothings specially a woolen shawl. Its cheap as well.

What to pay: Bargain for prices...

    Bargaining & bazaars

by Nourin Updated Oct 14, 2003

Don't forget to bargain for everything you buy. It's part of shopping and it's necassary to show that you aren't rich just because your a westerner.

Khyber bazaar is cheaper than Saddar and the old houses there are also beautiful.
