Oh God there is nothing more confusing than Peshwar and its cus stand ! i think there are 4 different bus stands in this one small city and all 4 are used for 4 buses going to 4 different directions.
1. Buses leaving for West such as Torkham, Landi Kotal, Ali Masjid, Shagai, Jamrud Fort, leave from Karkhano Bazaar bus stand.
2. Buses leaving for South such as Dara Adam Khel, Kohat, Lachi, Naurang, Bannu, D.I. Khan even for Karachi ! leave from Kohat Road bus stand.
3. Buses going to East Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad leave from General bus stand on G.T Road.
4. Buses going to North such as Charsada, Takh Bhai, Mardan, Nowshehra, Dir, Timirgirah and Mingora leave from New bus stand at G.T Road.
New & General Bus stand are 5 mins walk apart on opposite sides on G.T. Road.

This is our very 'plain' bus, we had to change to a left-hand drive in China.Taken outside our hotel in Sust.
This is probably the best way to go along the Karakoram Highway,we didn't see anything bigger, except for the trucks, of course.

We travelled from Peshawar in our 11 seater bus. This is the fun way to cross the Swat River north of Mingora. Sways a bit in the wind.
We are now in Mingora. The best way to get around is by foot, see much more.
