Faisalabad Things to Do

  • Clock Tower

The city of Faisalabad is actually pretty new. It was built in the late 19th century by the British who named it Lyallpur after a British general. The clocktower is where the center of the city tecnically is. It was built to resemble the Union Jack from the top. Unfortunatly the clock tower is kind of decrepid as the pollution in the city...

  • Quilim Restaurant

The Entrance of the restaurant is very nice. It is decorated by the Chinese decorations and there is a little garden infront of the restaurant as well and if u want then u can sit there and u would be served outside as well. All the dishes are cooked well. Choose from the menu your favourite dish and have a nice meal.

  • A touch of Class in Faisalabad

A nice place to relax after a hard day for the business traveller or the casual tourist. A refreshing ambiance which makes up for the otherwise bland city of Faisalabad. The menu is varied offering Chinese, Continental, Local Barbeque, Steaks and everything under the Sun. Favorite dish depends on your mood.

A barbeque restaurant with a very good ambiance especially the open air seating in favorable weather conditions. The newly added airconditioned sitting area would suffice in the hot summer days. The restaurant offers a pleasant change from the upscale hotel where usually business travellers stay. All dishes seem to be good. The Mixed Grill is a...

  • By Air

I flew to Faisalabad from Islamabad a few years ago via PIA. The Plane was a prop-driven Fokker, and the flight only lasted about an hour. It's a good option to get quickly to the city, and shouldn't cost more than $50. However, I don't think PIA flies to Faisalabad from Islamabad anymore. I do know that PIA flies to Faislabad from Multan and...

Faisalabad What to Pack

  • by Digi Written Mar 1, 2004

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Bring light clothing, Faisalabad is extremely hot in the summer. Try to wear light shoes, or even open ones. The rubber sandals that are widely sold in Pakistan are perfect.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If you are coming from another country make sure to bring anti-diahrreal medication.
