Pakistanis are generally very friendly and hospitable. The religious extremists, however, are anti-American. If you are a U.S. citizen, and you are of Anglo ethnicity, stay in the big cities. Don't go into the villages. Avoid all demonstrations and rallies. Before you go to Pakistan, register your trip with the U.S. Consulate in Lahore through their website. They will come to your aid in case of trouble.
