Eating at McDonald's was a treat for me, since the ones in America don't serve Halal meat, and I try to keep Halal. For those of you who want a taste of America, the McDonald's are no different then those in America.
However, it was odd for me to see people dressed in their best clothes for a trip to what in America is simply fast-food joint. I guess it's the old case of people seeing American products as luxurious.
Another intersting thing was the drive-through. Im accostomed to the mechanical ones here in America, but in Pakistan they have people who line up and take your order, then run inside, give you your receipt, and then you pull up to the window and get your food.
This may have changed since I went, but since labor is so cheap in Pakistan, I doubt it.
