Kite flying was a favorite sport in Lahore. Every weekend either it was summer or winter; people used to go up on the roofs of their houses and loved kite flying. Kite flying is banned for the last few years after annual kite flying festival “Basant” went out of control as local authorities had started sponsoring it as a tourism activity. Every extreme has its fall. See more details in my tip on Basant festival.
