Always review your bill before paying for your food at the restaurants where billing is not automated. There have been incidences where cashiers over charge. Sometimes it may be error in total or a food slip is added to your bill that was ordered by the people sitting on another table. Reason may be a human error but why you pay more. This happened to us recently in a high profile restaurant near Gaddafi Stadium.

Taxi/rikshaw drivers can ask for exhorbitant fares seeing that you are a foreigner. whatever price they quote initially try to hagle with them, they will most probably bring it down. Dont take the first taxi/rikshaw you see but try to find a better deal if there are many available at one place.
Fun Alternatives: Dawewoo Busses are air-conditioned and cheap but they are not everywhere, their routes are confined, and sometimes they are too crowded.
