Pakistanis, basically, very friendly and warm welcoming people and the areas for traveling, you've mentioned in your post, safe and pretty scenic.
The best times begins after November, when the snow goddess arrives over the mountains of Galliat and you can make some short treks in Nathigali, to Miranjani 2900 m mountain, 3,4 hrs and Mushkpuri trek.
PC Bhurban's always a very beautiful place, especially the views from there and there're some short hikes like Gharial trek.
It's absolutely safe here and you've the advantage, as Aghani said in the lines above that trust the fiance.

in whole region of murree hills and near by called "galyat" by different names such as ghora gali khaira gali and other places like patriata new murree there are lack of services like accomodation ,food ,security and medical help , except bhurban and nathiagali many places have no proper arrangments for staying overnight these places are like to go in morning and come back in evening and situated at various distances near half hour upto two hours road journey from murree, so i think one should make murree its centre point in its stay and visit all surroundings to have some better services for accomodations specially for security purpose murree ,bhurban and nathiagali are safe for overnight stay but if you stay at some other spot near murree region the picture changes very much after sunset and even you can find yourself alone in hotel or place you are staying because these places are known for go and come back,

While going to Murree 30 Km from the Capital Islamabad there is beautiful place "Chattar" you can enjoy here water games, food and small zoo.
