After the opening of Islamabad - Murree Expressway in July 2008, travelling to Murree has become more safe & convenient. This Expressway links Islamabad to Muzaffarabad (Kashmir) via Murree. Road to Murree has been working. Murree to Muzaffarabad road is under construction.
Daewoo Express has started its service for Murree. They operate Daily 4 buses to Murree. Out of which 02 come from other cities (Lahore & Multan).
1. Rawalpindi Departure Time : 8:30 am, Murree Arrival : 10:30 am
2. Rawalpindi Departure Time: 2:00 pm, Murree Arrival: 04:00 pm
3. Lahore Departure: 8:30 am, Rawalpindi Departure : 1:30 pm, Murree Arrival : 3:30 pm
4. Multan Departure: 11:30 pm, Rawalpindi Departure: 8:05 am, Murree Arrival: 10:05 am

From Lahore: Daewoo Bus Terminal Near Kalma Chowk, Ferozpur Road, Lahore where Daewoo will run to Rawalpinidi/Islamabad after an hour. The Fare is US $ 8(Rs. 420) to Rawalpindi. The distance is around 333 kilometers from Lahore. In Rawalpindi Daewoo Bus terminal Near Peshwar Road. The Daewoo Coach will run from Rawalpindi to Murree. The fare is around US $ 1.6 (Rs. 100 ) and this coach takes 1 and half hour to reach murree. the Non A/C Service charge US 0.6-1 (Rs. 35 -60) to Murree. The distance from RAwalpindi to Murree is around 60 kilometers.
There are some other companies buses (Abdullah Travels, Niazi Express) run from Lahore to Murree Directly via Rawalpindi at Niazi Chowk Bus Terminal Lahore. The Fare is about US $ 6 (Rs. 350) for A/C and US $ 3 (Rs. 180) for Non A/C service from Lahore to Murree and it will take 6 hours to reach Murree. The Train Serivce Also Run From Lahore to Rawalpindi. Non stop train will take approx 4 hours to Rawalpindi. The train fare is US $ 7(Rs. 400 ) for A/C Parlour, US $ 4 for A/C Lower and Rs. US $ 2.5 for economy Class. If you are coming from other cities then you must come to rawalpindi to go Murree. A Jeep/Car can be hired from Rawalpindi to Murree after negotiation.
