Favorite thing: Here I found a nice view by standing behind this big thing to shoot the entire Minapin valley. This location where I stand is one the way to Rakaposhi base camp and the scenery is my favourite Minapin.

Favorite thing: No pollution yet, look at the water from the brook. Crystal clear water, I drank of course. The mountain goat drank, the mountain yak drank and many others drank. But then our world is hopeless when visitors or developers come, they throw garbage of all types into the river and all over the place, gone, gone the entire nature.

Favorite thing: This is some garbage about to burn by a group of local Pakistani visitors. Hopefully they know how to keep this place clean. Still very clean indeed, probably less visited yet. I hope my Rakaposhi tips fail to draw tourists, or else too many tourists will eventually destroy the surface of this location so beautiful....so beautiful.

Favorite thing: I just want to have many photos of myself when come to this kind of place. Most photos taken by Andy, some using the automatic timer while some taken by my left hand. I don't know how to stop not taking photos, everywhere looks beautiful to me....

Favorite thing: This is at one point Stefan called it Hapakun (something like that). I did not study about this location, this is the only information I got for this location. I don't really care the name when I have a scenery of this in front me. The green here, is like a dreamland of somewhere in heaven, crazy place.

Favorite thing: This is Stefan, a German tourist we met in Minapin hotel. He can speak Hindi language, ask him why, he said he has been to India so many times. This view is both of us getting a rest at some point while on the up the Rakaposhi base camp. And you know what, I forgot to bring water, for the entire 8 hours hike. Luckily there's a small stream.

Favorite thing: This is at a stop or rest point, a stone house of hill peoples. Background is Diran Peak if not mistaken, told by our guesthouse owner. At this point, air is quite sparse. Temperature around 18C, scenery is beyond heaven and my focus isthe Rakaposhi base camp, still way to hike.

Favorite thing: to get to Rakaposhi base camp, I need to bring my mid size backpack with a thick good jacket, thick wool trousers plus gloves. A rain jacket is very important because it always rain. Bring a gas stove and cooking set together with instant foods that able to supply energies, water container and a pair of good shoes. Don't wear sandals, I regreted to go with my sandals. Bring your best camera. To get to the base camp, I needed 6 hours go up and back, quite a tough challenge.

Favorite thing: My own shadow in the Rakaposhi base camp. This day is so bright, strong sunlight at about 2pm, on the way down. It was much better feeling comparing to tropical hiking for the cold temperature.
