You can get chat at road side, it is like rojak in Malaysia, you get everything in a plate and mix them together, they are often consists of potato, beans, onions, tomato, peanuts etc. A very local snacks but still can make you stuffed. Little bit spicy, I love it too much.
Fruit chat made up of mix fruit, it always depends on what kind of fruit they can get.
30-40Rp for a plate.

Food street is a must-see on anyone's list while visiting Lahore! There are many food stalls and small restaurants to chose from with wide variety of Lahori favorites. The kebabs are always fresh, hot, and very tasty! Just watch out for film crews. Apparently Geo TV was working on a spot about International Food Day, Oct 16, and spotted my red hair in the crowd and interviewed me. Did anyone see it by chance?

This resturant was on the corner of the food street in Lahore. It's clean and cheap. Easy to get a seat. Food was excellent. The bathrooms were not identified with "male" and "female" sign so there was interesting clashes happening the night I was there. :))
The second resturant - the Kyber Pass in Model Town was a nice experience. I 've never taken dinner in a resturant lying down before. These traditional Punjabi chairs gave cultural atmosphere.

Oh well you will see these corn carts every where in Pakistani bazaars and markets. These corns are worth trying and most hygienic and clean since these full corns are grilled in sand and salt. These are very cheap and a good replacement of a light lunch or dinner. It will not cost you more than Pak Ruppee 10/-

Your visit to Islamabad is not complete without trying the local Pakistani barbecue. One of the popular place for this type of food is in F-6 Markaz, called Mr. Food or Munchies. If you drive your car, just pull over in a parking space and the street-waitress from this restaurant will approach you with menu. You can enjoy it on the spot or take away.
Some people may warn you about the hygiene of food vendor. So far, we never have any problem.
Favorite Dish: Chicken Tikka !!

If you are in Islamabad and look for something to spice up your appetite, Royal Orchid Thai restaurant in F-6 Markaz could be your option. The restaurant is fairly new, just open in Oct'2006. They serve authentic Thai food with variety of menu from Tom Yam, Mango Salad, Pad Thai, Green curry, Nam Pla, Lemon grass juice, fried banana w/ ice cream etc. Service, food taste and price, everything above average. A serious contender for the other Thai restaurant, Royal Elephant, at Marriot hotel.
Favorite Dish: Chicken in Pandan leaf - authentic taste. Should try for the appetizer, come in 6 pcs.
Green curry - either w/ chicken, beef or shrimp. Warning : very spicy.
