Favorite thing: The most classic way of visiting the the Thar desert, is on the back of a camel. It is the most rewarding way of exploring the desert (except for your bottom). In the Thar desert there are many places with water in the ground, and of course, an oasis here and there. Around these places you will find interesting villages, battle-scarred fortresses and magnificent palaces.
