One of the highlights in Karimabad is the Baltit Fort.
It dates from the 13th century and is the symbol of the history and identity of the Hunza valley.

You also had a great vieuw at the surrounding valleys, here you see the Altit village with its fort.
A basket with dried abricots. I believe abricots are the most cultivated fruit in this region. These abricots really colour the whole valley orange.
When you visit a place like this, it is always adviseable to bring a panoramic camera, like the cheap throw-away camera's.
When you are in Karimabad, you must make an excursion to the Hopar Glacier. It is 40 minutes drive with 4x4 jeeps.
