salam from Peshawar,

Medina-tul-Awlia, city of sufi hermits, do visit the shrines of Hazrat shah shamswari, Hazrat Bahudin Zikria Multani etc.

Stay at
Hotel Shabroze
Hotel Mavra
at Hasan parwana road.

besal's given some very nice suggestions about Darewar fort, it should be given a try if you've time.

You could find Multani Sohan Halwa everwhere but try to get the
Hafiz Brand.

All the best,

Imran Schah

Shah Rukn-i-Alam Shrine in Multan

Multan, a prosperous commercial and industrial center with bazaars, mosques, shrines and superbly designed tombs, is also a city of dust, summer heat and beggars. One of the Indian subcontinent's oldest cities, local industries include fertilizer, soap, and glass factories; foundries; cotton, woolen and silk textile mills; flour, sugar and oil mills, and a large thermal-power station. Large, irregular suburbs have grown outside the old walled town, and two satellite towns have been set up. Multan has an airport about 10 Km from city P.I.A.. operates daily flightS between Karachi-Lahore-lslamabad via Multan.
Multan is famous for traditional and religious fairs and festivals. There were a .lot of saints whose shrines are the asse' of Muslims. At every shrine annual festivals are held Outskirts of Multan are known for fairs and other gatherings.

|Multan , one of the hottest places ive been in |Pakistan, has some impressing shrines and mosques.|The style is the one typical of the area, just read derawar, but what impressed me more when i sat down on the floor in the best one of them, is to realize that the religious feelings of the people is still alive, and wherever u go, no matter what kind of religion does the building belongs to, there is always the same serenity, peacefulness.
||All these places are scented with the sticks and flowers people devotedly offer and add more magic to the sacred environment.
