Travelling by Bus, Pakistan
Using Local Public Tranport or Taxis could be hectic. The is no organised system of transport in comparison with developed nations. You must know the place where you wish to go and then you have to ask people which bus will be approperiate for you to take in order to reach there.
Realistically speaking, the only way to reach Pakistan is through air. The 3 best airlines serving Karachi are KLM, British Airways and Emirates.
There are 3 local airlines - PIA, Aero-Asia and Shaheen - serving all the major cities of Pakistan. However, we strongly recommend traveling by road in an airconditioned mini-passenger vans or 4 wheel drives with curtained windows. Road travel offers good cultural experience as shown in the picture of a young Pushtoon woman from NWFP tending her flock of sheep. Picture of women should only be taken by the females in the entourage and that too with permission.
