I was reading a forum on travel via dmia in clark and i got the following scenario for travel to clark airport.
1.FOR NON LOCALS, easiest is take a bus that go directly to DMIA. the fare is almost the same as taking a taxi from Dau bus terminal to Clark airport. So hassle in transfers is avoided. Philtranco terminal is at St. Francis square area at the back of SM Mega mall.
2. 2nd best option and if you are familiar with travelling by bus up north is take any aircon bus going to bagiou, dagupan, tarlac in Ayala center bus terminal with Dau on their signboard and alight at the Dau bus terminal. Always ask them to confirm that it stops at dau terminal. other buses bypass the dau terminal. fare is about 180 the last time I used it.
3. From dau terminal the following options are available:
a. take a taxi from there. It seems the guards at jolibee will be able to
guide you to these taxis. Its a fixed 300 peso fare to the airport.
b. If you dont have a heavy baggage, and balk at the taxi fare,
go out of the terminal and walk towards the intersection on the left.
Cross the intersection and take a jeepney with a sign board CLARK
MAINGATE.fare is less than 10 pesos. there are so many of these jeepneys
so they are not filled always and its easy to hop off and on.
these jeepneys passes by SM Clark also so if you have time, drop off
there for a meal before going to the airport since the fastfood outlets
at the airport is limited. Taxi from sm clark to the airport is 250 but
it can be haggled down to 200 sometimes
If you are still using the jeepney, ask them to drop you off at the
jeepney terminal in clark maingate. Cross the gate and ask for the
jeepney passing by the airport. there are other routes in this
terminal so make sure that its the one that passes by the airport. Its
less than 20 peso one way. The problem with these jeepneys are they
usually go only when they are full so baggage and time wise it may be a
hassle.

Favorite thing: I stayed at the Clarkton Hotel. It was clean, great food and buffet's. Not expensive. But, its not listed in Virtual Tourist. They do have a website.
As a US citizen I felt very safe in this hotel. And, check out the hair salon, the best hair cutter and manicure I ever had.
Fondest memory: The people are always key when in the Philippines. I was there to meet friends, not barhop. So I can't talk about that. Magarita Station was good for lunch and a few very cheap beers. The staff was also friendly and there is an internet cafe out back. The Clarkton Hotel, has an internet cafe there next to the bar. Very nice idea.
