Favorite thing: Unless you are a military man visiting the local airbase, there is no reason to visit this locale... The sex industy is the main industry in this seedy little town. If you are looking for a cheap vacation, head to Thailand or Laos.

Favorite thing: Dau (pronounced as "Da-u" - in two syllabus)Bus Terminal in the Municipality of Macalabat is the nearest (only?) bus terminal in Clark/Angeles. For those who are coming in from the Clark Field Airport (Diosdado Macapagal International Airport), this would be bus terminal you will be heading if you want to board any north or south bound buses in Philippines. It is a few km north of Angeles and you can get there by cab or a jeepney from the airport.
By cab from airport
=============
It's a 10mins ride. You can book the cab once you are out of the immigration at the airport. There is a booth for you to book the cab. Cost per cab to Dau terminal is 250pesos. Tip: If you happen to see someone going the same way, arrange to share out the cab fare.
By Jeepney
========
You need to get to the main exit gate of the airport area - to get there, once you get out from the immigration, exit and turn left, diagonal across about 5mins walk - ask for direction to catch the jeepney to Clark Main Gate, price 10pesos, 10mins ride. Arrival at Clark Main Gate which is a huge open air station, full of jeepneys, get onto another jeepney bound for Dau Terminal . The jeepney will stop you at a Caltex gas station which is very near to the Dau Terminal. Price should be about another 10pesos or so.. 5mins ride
Journey from Airport to Dau Terminal, Macalabat
==================================
You will pass a big and high advertisement of a coke in can form and then you will cross the boundary "Municipality of Macalabat" to a busy street where you will see a stretch of fastfood outlets : KFC, Shakey Pizza and Jollibee. Dau Terminal is just next to Jollibee Fastfood chain.
Bus Tickets - can you book in advance?
========
They DO NOT sell tickets in advance and such no bookings of tickets is done. You have to sit there and wait for the bus. You only pay the tickets when you board the bus
See pictures attached on how to get to Dau Terminal

Favorite thing: There are 2 airlines offering domestic flights to Clark Field Airport or Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) : Asian Spirit and SEAIR. International flights that service Clark include Asiana Airlines, China Rich Airways, and the no-frills airlines Airasia and Tiger Airways.

Favorite thing: This is a large compound where all the jeepneys to many places are stationed. It is near to the Clark Main Gate (do not be mistaken, this does not refer to the Clark airport main gate) and near to Balibago area. Next to this station is the Bayanihan Park, Clark (see tip on this).
It is also within walking distance from the SM City Mall, Clark.
Some term this as the Balibago Jeepney terminal

Favorite thing: The Terminal Fee (ie the airport tax) of Diosdado Macapagal Internal Airport has increased from 350pesos to 500pesos, effective 19 October 2006, for all departing international passengers. This is the airport where the no frills airlines like Tiger Airways (Singapore) and Airasia (Malaysia) land.

Favorite thing: Angeles is a central location. From here busses will go to Manila and North of Luzon, for example Baguio.
With the military airport now open to commercial flights, skies are open to local travel to Cebu, Boracay, Davao, etc, but also to Korea, Taiwan, Singapore. Further connections will be added soon.
Fondest memory: I have lots of friends, locals and foreigners, in Angeles City. The nice restaurants all over the city, the pleasant business friends, the park like surroundings in the former air base, these all make Angeles City a city of my choise

Q: Hello, I heard there were no tricycles from Clark airport to the city. My question is if anyone has an idea what the costs are...

A: there is no real taxi service there - if you mean the regular cabs with meters. what they have are airport limousines (called airport taxi too) that costs from P300 up....
