Tricycle drivers smells tourist from miles away thus similar to tuk-tuk rides in Bangkok, they will be trying to part you with your hard earn cash as much as possible. A ride starts at P20 so haggle the price like mad if you really want to experience this ride. I personally skipped this ride as I was not in the mood to bargain and also other than taking jeepney, walking seems to be the best choice to get around.
Fun Alternatives: BARGAIN LIKE MAD but don't push the button too far....

Beware of people offering you drinks and trying to be friendly, If you don't know them don't drink with them. Don't fall for the "I saw you at the air port" or the "i used to live in " don't talk to couples who will "want to show you around" and if somebody say's you have dropped some money" and tries to give it you just tell them you have none to lose and walk away or you will lose the money you have.
Unique Suggestions: Don't drink anything that you have not seen the top come off, Be polite, be AWARE!!

I traveled a lot in the Philippines and I enjoyed each part, but in Angeles City, particularly around and along the former Clark Air Base, tricycle drivers have developed a habbit of cheating.
Nowhere in the Philippines prices for a tricycle drive are as high as in Angeles City.
Whereas in Manila you will drive from the Buendia/Dian market area about 3 - 5 kilometers the charge will not be much higher than 20-30 Pesos. a similar ride would cost in Angeles around 100 Pesos.
In Angeles, even 1 km is at lest 30, when it rains nothing goes below 50 Pesos.
Reason for this is that the GI's used to pay for each and everything 1 US$ (which by now seems to be the measurement for all).
Unique Suggestions: Bargain and negotiate prior to sit down in the tricycle. I never pay more than 40 Pesos for any trip unless I have a heavy load coming from the 6 km away market.
Fun Alternatives: Look for another young driver. They are not used to old GI dollar throwing habbits.

Angeles city is a town of young girls trapped by poverty and despair. They want out, and you are the meal ticket Joe!
Unique Suggestions: Get a good lawyer and ensure you have a prenuptial agreement!
Fun Alternatives: Avoid falling in love with a Bargirl!
The saying goes!
“You can take the girl out of the bar, but you cannot take the Bar out of the girl!”
Find a nice girl, one you can take home to mom!
