Angeles City map

I've encountered a lot of questions about getting an online map, or on getting an actual map of Angeles City. I hope this helpful interactive site of Angeles City will help a tourist around. http://www.acmap.com/main.aspThanks Wayne!

Fees at DMIA

by Yla

For passengers departing DMIA for other asian hubs, please check the airfare charges by your airline. For budget airlines, travel tax is not normally included and shall be paid separately at the airport. This amount is fixed at P1620. I believe, a different and lesser amount is charged for OFWs. Of course terminal fee remains at P700.

DMIA (Diosdado Macapagal International Airport)

by Yla

The DMIA or locally known as Clark Airport, was a prime facility of the previous Clark Air Base, home of US military forces. The base was abandoned and turned over to the Philippine government in 1991, after the devastation of Mt. Pinatubo and failure of the US-Philippine military base agreements. While Clark Development Corporation is the administrator of Clark Freeport Zone, Clark International Airport Corporation, a subsidiary of CDC, runs the airport. The airport is located 3 miles west from Angeles City and 40 miles northwest of Metro Manila. Its approximately 1 to 1.5 hours by air from major hubs in Asia, 1 hour from Metro Manila by land, and 1.5 hours from NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) in Manila.Park and Fly facilities is available at the open-air parking across the departure entrance at P90/day. Park and fly area is secured by 24/7 guard services.Transportation is...

To and From Airport to Angeles City

by kenningst

There is actually 2 ways to get to and from Angeles City to Clark Airport. 1)This is the easiest way. By TAXI. Upon reaching Diosdado Airport and exit the immigration counter, you will find a stretch of about 5 -6 counters on your left providing transports. To go to Angeles City, it will be written to Fields Avenue. Pay P200 and off you go. To go back to Airport from Fields Avenue, its the same. Just go to any of the jeepney station or flag down any taxi. Don't pay more than P200 to go to the airport.2) Option 1 is nice but what is the adventure in that?I return to the Airport from Fields Ave, the local way - by jeepney. Go to the jeepney station in the middle in Angeles, go to Route 1 station and ask for jeepney to Airport. The jeepney does not take you all the way to the airport but rather the highway junction to the road leading to the airport. Ask the jeepney driver to stop you...

Tricycle

by kenningst

Only slightly more expensive than travelling in a jeepney and way much cheaper than a taxi. Tricycle saves you the hassle of waiting for the jeepney to fill up. Its good way to get around but its only for close by distances. Rides starts at P20. Remember to haggle for price like crazy.

Jeepney

by kenningst

Jeepney rides cost depends on where you go but the cheapest I ever took was P7.50 around town, P9.50 to the Airport and P11.00 to Clark. There is 3 jeepney stations in Angeles. One is located in Fields Avenue itself, one is located beside SM Clark and one is smacked right between the 2. The first 2 stations takes rides within the city but the one in the middle takes you out of the city, mainly to Clark area and beyond. Make sure you know where you want to go and which station you should be in. You don't want to be catching a jeepney in the wrong place when you are running for time.

From Dau to NorthBound - Vigan/Laoag

by myspices

From DMIA, Clark airport, we took a cab (shared with another passenger) to Dau Bus Terminal in Macalabat. We waited for the the North bound buses to our intended place of visit, Vigan. We missed the Partas bus (at 12.30am) bound for Vigan which was supposed to be stationed at the Partas stand. Apparently the bus stationed itself at another stand and left without us knowing. We had to take another bus at 1.00am which was bound for Laoag but will stop at Vigan. When we reached Vigan, we decided to change our course - we continued our bus journey for Laoag but stopped at Batac for a visit. It was a good decision as we had a chance to visit Batac and Paoay before going up further north to Laoag. Bus fare to Vigan was 469pesos and from Vigan to Batac (before reaching Laoag) was another 98pesos.Note : Ensure that when waiting for bus at the designated lot/stand, you also look around the...

No frills airlines - Airasia & Tiger Airways

by myspices

No frills budget airlines, Airasia (in Malaysia) and Tiger airways (Singapore), fly to Philippines and land at Clark Field (Clark Airbase, Pampanga). It is a cheap way to get to the Philippines. From here, you can get to Dau Bus Terminal to board buses to the various provinces of Philippines.Log on to : From Malaysia : www.airasia.comFrom Singapore : www.tigerairways.com
