by eversure

Its a shop with ceramics, candle products, coconut crafts, woven bags, jewelry, furnitures... everything inside are made locally. Local delicacies also available. The place is airy and clean and a great place to find unique gifts.as of Jan2012: They now have a branch at the Robinson's Mall. The mall is also along Lacson St. About 1.5 km north from the main ANP shop across Philippine National Bank Prices are 15 to 20% cheaper than in Manila. Most producers also ship to major department stores in manila.

Bong-bong's: Local Goods for "pasalubong"

by buenababe

If you are looking for something to bring back home from Bacolod, visit Bong-bong's and you'll find lots of food and other souvenir for "pasalubong" (take-home).Bong-bong, the owner of the store, used to be an ordinary baker and his story of "from rags to riches" is really inspiring. Bong-bongs sells local delicacy including the famous piaya which is the trademark of Bacolod. They also sell shirts and other souvenir items on the shop.It is in their main store, which is in Alijis-Murcia Road, where they have their bakery and you can buy hot piaya from there. They also have branches in Corner Alunan, Araneta St. in downtown Bacolod, SM City and Robinson's Place. Piaya, barquillos, cheesetart, Tshirt... Depends on the kind and number of items you're buying...

Plaza Mart: Shop At Bacolod's Very First Mall

by cyndymc

I saw SM Mall and Robinson's Mall in Bacolod City, but I didn't bother to go there, as I already know what it's like shopping in those malls. I wanted to see what the very first mall in Bacolod looked like, the Plaza Mart. The mall has been renovated, but it was opened in 1965, and was the first modern commercial center in Western Visayas to provide shoppers with an escalator. It is right in the heart of the city. As I went up the escalator, I noticed that the ambience was like the old shopping center in Greenhills. There were boutiques selling imported garments, faux jewelry, bags, footwear, health supplements and other imported goods. I stopped by Kyak, a boutique which seemed to have it all. I left Kyak Boutique happy with the reasonably-priced items I bought:t 2 summer dresses, leggings, Pito-Pito Health Syrup, and organic mosquito repellant. I spent less than P1,000 for said items

888 Chinatown Square: Shop Like You Were At Divisoria’s 628 store

by cyndymc

While on the way to their house, my cousin pointed to me the 888 Chinatown Square. She said it is often likened to Divisoria’s 628 Department Store in Manila where the prices of items are so low but shoppers can still haggle for a discount, depending on one’s bargaining skills. 888 Chinatown Square offers a wide range of very affordable merchandise like ready-to-wear garments, jewelry, accessories, footwear, DVDs, cell phone units and the latest fad and gadgets from China. Verrry low prices!

Jean's: Pringles as you've never had them

by shohman

Got a hankering for some pringles flavored with seafood like soft shell crab or shrimp? Well, you are in luck,. For about a dollar you can score a can here. They certainly have flavors we don't see in the US.

888 Chinatown Square: For the cheapest buys in town!

by tidzy

Actually 888 Chinatown Square is a mini-mall..much like the greenhills in Manila. Everything is cheap and you can even haggle for the prices! The stalls and shops sell a wide variety of merchandise from clothes, bags, shoes, accessories to dvds, cellphones and load. Just remember to keep your belongings close to you, it kinda gets crowded in there and you might lose your things or get pick-pocketed. They also have a food court in case you get caught in mid-day shopping and want to eat :) If you're a fashionista, then this is one place you MUST visit. :) It depends on what you want to buy. Even bringing just P1000, you're good to go. :)

The ANP Showroom: Souvenir Shop

by tidzy

This is one big shop located along Lacson Street and is full of locally made souvenir items. Items sold here are exported world-wide and the shop is known as one of the most successful in the Philippines. Get something that would really remind you of Bacolod. ANP Showroom is a bit pricey, so expect to spend more for the souvenir items.

SM City Bacolod: our own version of MOA

by tidzy

SM Prime Holdings has finally opened their branch here in Bacolod! It is located at the Reclamation area and has a total land area of 161,096.60 square meters. Here you can find a variety of shops selling all sorts of things from clothes, shoes, jewelry, reading glasses, sunglasses, books, cellphones, watches, etc. There are also a lot of locally-owned restaurants. They also have a department store and a HUGE supermarket. The events center in the North Wing of the mall sometimes hold events, activities, exhibits and competitions. Shopping in SM Bacolod would depend on what you're looking for. If you're looking for souvenir items, there are some available at the department store. If you're looking for native delicacies, Merci Pasalubong Center also has a branch there.
