Fondest memory: In the photo you'll see lots of pine trees. Probably not unusual for most of you who live in cooler countries but for us in the tropics, pine trees only grow where it's much cooler...most of the time in the mountains.

Favorite thing: Rafael Salas Nature Park
Fondest memory: The nature park has several cabanas you can rent for the day. The air is much cooler and the day that we went was a bit wet and foggy but nevertheless, we had a good time just getting away from the city.

Favorite thing: We must have stopped 10 times on the way up and on our way down because I wanted to take pictures. This gave my nieces an opportunity to pick wildflowers by the roadside.

Favorite thing: Half a kilometer or less from the nature park is a swimming hole fed by the mountain springs.
