Solibao Restaurant: Great Pilipino Fare

Rodan 44 and a spread of Pilipino dishes, Baguio

This place serves classic Pilipino fare. We ordered chicken adobo, a very popular dish here in the Philippines. The chicken is cooked in vinegar and soy sauce. My husband got the Pork Lechon ( fried pork). We also got some stirfried vegetables with tomatoes and rice.

SM Food Court: Great food at good prices

SM Baguio Food Court

The shopping center SM Baguio has some nice restaurants and a large food court. I highly recommend the Taste of Laoag, which serves north Luzon fare. If you can, try the Vigan Bibingka. It looks like a corn muffin in banana leaf. But it tastes a little sweet (like yellow cake), but has a salty and cheesy top. It sounds weird, but believe me -it's good. It's served warm. Other food stalls serve other Pilipino, Chinese and western fare.

solibao in session road: wash essentials

i am a local in baguio working abroad and i tried to dine in solibao much to my disgust.first of all, the place is small and you often are disturbed by people wanting to go to the upper floor(another pub). you are not entitled to any refund eventhough you obviously ordered the wrong dish. waiters are not so helpful as well with the selection of dishes. and the worst part is that you have to go up a floor to wash your hands! and my experience did not end there, there was no soap or washing liquid at all. i had to ask from the kitchen!!so annoyed that i didn't finish the dish I paid for.this place has a lot of facelifting to do if they would be up to scratch.

Bario Fiesta has great traditional Filipino food and the wooden carvings are fantastic and some are very big.

Favorite Dish: Crispy pata is a traditional pork dish, that is out of this world. You have got to try this place when in Baguio.

Cocho-Late de Batirol: Choco-Late

Tkokolate E!

The resto has a very nice ambiance. Good for a cozy cool morning meal with hot choco and a good book . Service is not that good though. You have to wait almost about 20 minutes before your food is served. To ease the wait, the resto gives their patrons a cup of their house specialty, the chocolate de batirol. They serve filipino dishes for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Favorite Dish: their hot choco, prepared in the native way is the restos specialty, great for baguio's cold climate.

Picarre Restaurants: Delightfully Eclectic Food from Picarre
tinyMariam profile photo

3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

tinyMariam 1 reviews

Aside from their wide selection of classic and Baguio-original coffees, Picarre is also known for their delightfully eclectic menu which includes among others, pasta, savory and dessert crepes, sandwiches, rice meals, salads, cakes and pastries.

The Porta Vaga branch is right next to the Baguio Cathedral and their SM branch is located on the Veranda overlooking the city of Baguio.

Favorite Dish: All their savory (pizza, ham cheese, pesto mozzarella) and dessert (generously filled with mango, strawberry, blueberry, etc.) crepes are to die for! My favorite is their pizza crepe which I can eat 2 at one time.

Likewise, all their hot and cold coffees me and my fiancee (he has ordered twice in one occassion their Machiatto) have tasted so far are the best!

Barrio Fiesta: Beware hiden extras on bill!
traveller20 profile photo

I'm sure a lot of people are unaware until they get the bill that bottles of water and face cloth charges are added extras.

Although the charges are quite reasonable, I still think this practice is wrong.
