I like the crowd in Latino where people just wanted to sit and talk with their friends. A small stage is put in front to those who want to sing. This place reminds me of the Hobbit house in Boracay and in Malate because the staff especially the waitresses are height challenged. But I think it is not connected to either of the two famous bars. Their beer costs P60.00 and price for their food starts at P120.00.
I was at the Flying Gecko Restaurant and Cafe Pub last year with my wife and enjoyed every bit of it. Gecko offer great tastin' fingerfoods at around P50 each. Local light beer is only at P40 a bottle. If I'm not mistaken, I devoured around 7 different orders of the fingerfoods they call "Tapas" and drowned my soul with 8-9 bottles of beer. The place seemed intimidating at first. Foreigners are the usually patrons, the ambiance seems to be expensive-looking compared to the neighboring bars/restos. To my surprise, its just as affordable as going to one of the regular bars such as gerry's, pier one, and the likes here in Manila. The bar is very simple and yet elegant (at night) and has no doors. The whole area opens up to Session Road. The place is relatively small and cozy but has another area at the rear (near the restrooms) where bigger groups can be accommodated. A number of restaurants and bars along Session Road offer different ambiences depending on your mood. During special days and/or holidays, several bands play along Session with various restaurants offering food and refreshment outside their establishments for customers to experience the cool nights of Baguio.
The Convention Center in in the Middle of Camp John Hay and was built in 2001. Obviously it is used for conventions, gatherings, large parties, exihbits since The Main Hall can seat 1,500 guests and the balcony provides for additional 1,000 seats for a total of 2500 persons but during christmas, it is converted into a very BIG Dance Hall for Chill out or Rave Parties.Entrance is 500 pesos w/ 2 free drinks. No Slippers and Flip-flops, shorts, Tank Tops, Halter Tops allowed.
For a nightlife that's away from the maddening crowd, this cafe is the place to be. The girl you see in the picture singing is the daughter of the owner of the trans house where I stayed in. Enjoy relaxing moments while you listen to their music. Order your best choice of coffee or tea.
This place is good spot to watch the sunset settle over the mountains surrounding the city. If you go there around 7pm, you can watch the staff light up the big fireplace. They have good smoothies and dessert cakes like black forest, carrot cake and blueberry cheesecake. Their flavored teas are also good.The staff are nice and accommodating. No dress code.
If you have your own vehicle, it will be worth your while to drive over to the Starbucks at Camp John Hay for your post dinner coffee. The drive up is quite refreshing and the store is housed in a cabin in middle of pine trees. If you don't have a ride, you can always take a taxi. The fare ranges from P50-60/way depending on which point of Session Road you got on. If you go there late at night, be prepared for a 10-minute walk down to the CJH gate to catch a taxi back downtown. It is no hardship as the walk is cool and pleasantly relaxing. You can see the well-lit greens and ornamentals of CJH. No dress code.
~~ NEVADA its like a place where all the party house is hosting. different bars lined up and u can even stay on the main street if the bar are like too crowded. ~~ i dont that people would go to baguio to have a night life or to party out nor to get wasted. ~~ normally people went to baguio to have a good rest, bonding time with family , friends, or get rid of the noisy city. people went there to rejuvinate or to be with themselves.~~ theres a couple of nice party place to visit but it is not as cool as with main land manila. ~~ be your self, no restrictions
Nevada is the most happening place in Baguio, if you wanna party around a bunch of cool people. Nevada is a collection of clubs, bars and restaurants, all in one central square. On weekends, there is a cover charge to enter, but this allows you access to all the different places. There is a 'Fridays' to eat, there is place called 'Beach Club' which is a casual drink spot with billiards, there is the 'Bedroom', an upscale place with couches and mood lighting, for getting your drink on while listening to pulsing house/trance music. There is also a place called 'Club Sugar' which is a two-story club that plays hip-hop and rap music, and seems the most crowded. I really liked the jams at this place, and it played the latest tunes which were also popular in the states. friday's is now the number 1 bar in baguio city. it offers house music and has the hippiest crowd in town which come from students to young professionals both from the city to other areas in the philippines. no sleepers or sandals allowed
